To my Readers ( all 3 of you)

Ok Ladies and Gents, I have recently had some requests for a color change on the blog, some are having a hard time reading the posts on the blog as the blog is and since a) I want people to read it and b) it is a blog and not a chore, I want to know what people think

Please Keep the Following in mind,

I like the current format and the current color scheme

I am Color Blind so this one is easy for me to read, the Ochre has a font that just doesnt work with my eyes, if someone wants to fiddle with permutations let me know but I cant do it.

Don't listen to what anyone else says. The unusual color scheme gives your blog personality. Of course, don't listen to what I say either.

Ya'akob,

I find that after staring at a light-on-dark page of text, my eyes become strained and start to water after less than a minute. I either have to highlight the text (which isn't much better), or I have to copy and paste it onto Word.

I found some studies that support my observation. For instance, the following was cited by the Software Usability Research Lab:

most studies have shown that dark characters on a light background are superior to light characters on a dark background (when the refresh rate is fairly high). For example, Bauer and Cavonius (1980) found that participants were 26% more accurate in reading text when they read it with dark characters on a light background. (Bauer, D., & Cavonius, C., R. (1980). Improving the legibility of visual display units through contrast reversal. In E. Grandjean, E. Vigliani (Eds.), Ergonomic Aspects of Visual Display Terminals (pp.137-142). London: Taylor & Francis)

This other study is more in line with my personal experience:

Reading experience along with halation (the tendency of white
characters or text to "glow" when presented on a black background)
may account for the beneficial influence of negative contrast.
